 Clark Headquarters

“With the return of our headquarters to the United States, we are honoring our heritage while simultaneously building for the future of the material handling equipment industry,” says Clark President Chuck Moratz. Clark is currently celebrating the opening of its global headquarters in the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area of Texas.

Chuck Moratz could have echoed Arnold Schwarzenegger, the TV star and former governor of California, and said, "I'll be back." The pioneer and one of the market leaders in the material handling equipment industry is immensely proud of the official return of its headquarters to the United States. At the same time, this solidifies the company's status as an iconic American brand and positions the forklift manufacturer for global growth in the coming decades.

Clark Headquarters

The new headquarters in Flower Mound, Texas, is owned by Clark and designed to foster collaboration and serve as a central hub for Clark's ongoing innovations in forklift technology and material handling solutions. The 5,293 m²building houses a showroom, a forklift experience center, a Clark Museum, a sales and service training center for dealers, a warehouse and distribution center, and global administration. The modern environment reflects Clark's continued commitment to its customers, employees, and dealer network.

The location was strategically chosen due to its proximity to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, providing excellent connectivity for global partners. A temporary global office was established in March 2022 while plans for a permanent facility gradually took shape. Following a year of construction, the new headquarters officially opened in November 2024. It currently employs 36 people, with plans to increase that number to 65 by the end of the year.

Vision for the future

In the meantime, US production in Lexington, Kentucky will continue, supported by teams in research and development, engineering, manufacturing and quality.

“The relocation of Clark’s global headquarters to the United States reaffirms our commitment to delivering exceptional products and services. This move strengthens our foundation as a global leader and ensures we remain close to our customers and markets,” said Seung Soo Baik, Chairman of Clark Global Headquarters. “Today, we are not just celebrating a building, but a bold vision for Clark’s future. This headquarters exemplifies our mission to innovate and lead while remaining rooted in the values that have made us a trusted name for over a century.”

Clark Headquarters

Clark invited partners and dealers to the opening ceremony to celebrate this significant occasion as the company embarks on an exciting new chapter from its Dallas headquarters. YoungAn Honorary Chairman Sung Hak Baik was also present to offer his congratulations. “Since 2003, I have envisioned a future where we would one day bring our global headquarters back to America, the birthplace of the forklift. This new building is the realization of that vision,” said Sung Hak Baik.

Since Eugene Clark invented the forklift truck in 1917 in Buchanan, Michigan, USA, Clark, with over 1.4 million forklifts sold worldwide, has been a pioneer in the industry, proud of its roots. Since its acquisition by YoungAn in 2003, Clark offers a complete product portfolio, including electric and internal combustion engine forklifts with lifting capacities from 1.5 to 8 tons, reach trucks, warehouse equipment, tow tractors, and a comprehensive service offering. Four headquarters around the globe manage operations. The company manufactures to European quality standards in plants in Korea, the USA, Vietnam, and China. Clark Europe, headquartered in Duisburg, Germany, is one of four subsidiaries and serves the regions of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa with approximately 170 dealers in 50 countries.
