
The forklift manufacturer, which made history in Michigan in 1917 with Eugene Clark's invention of the lifting device, is relocating its headquarters from Korea back to the United States. US CEO Chuck Moratz will initially lead global operations from Lexington on July 1, 2024, and from Dallas, Texas, starting in 2025.
With the relocation of its global headquarters, one of America's leading brands is returning to the United States. Clark's management states that this return lays the foundation for a new global growth strategy. At the same time, the Clark Global Headquarters will be merged with the North American branch of the Clark Material Handling Company (CMHC) in Lexington, Kentucky.

The new organization will take effect on July 1, 2024, and will be headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The official opening of the new Clark Global Headquarters is planned for January 1, 2025.
Chuck Moratz, President of Clark Global Headquarters, will lead the new organization and simultaneously serve as CEO of CMHC. He has more than 30 years of experience in the material handling equipment industry and is tirelessly committed to Clark.
Chuck Moratz held various key positions at CMHC, including Engineering Director, Vice President of Truck Operations, and COO. At the global level, he served as Vice President of Global Engineering, among other roles. He also oversaw the market launch of numerous new IC and electric forklift trucks, including the groundbreaking S-Series.

Moratz holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from West Point and served in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) in Korea. These qualifications provide him with excellent skills to maintain his course even under the increasingly challenging global conditions and to strategically expand the position of the material handling equipment supplier.
