Where else but just outside New York? Albany Elevators has installed and serviced around 800 elevators and lifting systems since its founding in 1966. With this acquisition, the former elevator division of ThyssenKrupp secures a strong presence in the Big Apple.
Indeed, TK Elevator is currently on a buying spree. Albany, located in the town of the same name in New York State with a population of 97,000, isn't the only company that has recently become a leader in elevator and escalator technology. TK Elevator recently acquired North American elevator companies in Nashville, Tennessee; Madison, Wisconsin; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.

With Albany Elevator, TK is celebrating the acquisition region 's leading companies in elevator modernization, maintenance, repair, and installation . Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The acquisition, they say, secures "a strong presence in the state's ." Albany Elevator will now operate as an official subsidiary under the name 'TK Elevator Albany.' Peter Walker, CEO of TK Elevator, commented: " This continues our path to growth with high synergy potential and strengthens our presence in key geographic regions and in the service business."
