DHL already generates approximately five billion euros in revenue from logistics services in the life sciences and healthcare sectors. Now CryoPDP is joining the ranks, handling 600,000 shipments per year in the clinical trials, biopharmaceutical, and cell and gene therapies sectors.
DHL has acquired 100 percent of Cryoport's shares. The two companies also announced that they have entered into a strategic partnership to strengthen their supply chain services offerings for the life sciences and healthcare sectors. The acquisition of CryoPDP is a significant step for DHL to optimize and expand its capabilities in specialty pharmaceutical logistics and white-glove courier services.
