Swiss air traffic control reacted quickly in the early morning hours to a disruption – reportedly caused by an IT issue – which necessitated the closure of all Swiss airspace to air traffic for several hours. Air traffic was resumed at 8:30 a.m.

Swiss Post was one of the first companies to use drones for transporting laboratory samples between hospitals and laboratories, starting in March 2017. After five years of pioneering work, Swiss Post has now decided to hand over its drone project to the Californian drone developer Matternet.

In Friedrichshafen, a third Zeppelin NT is currently under construction, alongside two existing aircraft of New Technology (NT) with a length of 75 meters and a volume of 8,425 cubic meters.

The letter from the new US Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigieg, to the 5G operators is polite but clear: there are difficulties with the 5G network, which operates in the GHz range and could interfere with weaker positioning signals in the vicinity of airports. 5G was supposed to launch on January 5th.
