Serge Frech has been successfully involved in the business operations of Swiss Logistics (ASFL SVBL) for some time now – and as of January, he has taken over as Managing Director from Beat M. Duerler. Duerler will remain President of the Vocational Training Association for the time being.

As of January 1, 2026, Serge Frech has taken over the operational management of the Swiss Association for Vocational Training in Logistics from Beat M. Duerler. Serge Frech is a proven expert in education and economics and most recently worked at ICT Vocational Training Switzerland. At the campus in Zofingen, he will assume national responsibility for the further development of the association as its director.
Serge Frech is looking forward to his new role with confidence: “Logistics is a key sector of our economy. Duerler has shaped and significantly developed the association and the logistics profession for many years. With the handover of operational management, he looks back on a fulfilling period.

“It has been a wonderful era. Now it is time to pass the torch to younger hands.” He was extremely pleased to hand over the reins to Serge Frech. His successor will lead the OdA into the future with competence and passion. Beat M. Duerler will initially remain president of the association. However, a successor for this position will be sought soon in order to ensure continuity in strategic leadership.
