As part of the test camp and the International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) Awards, the 2025 "Best in Intralogistics" certificates were awarded in Dortmund. Fifteen companies received their certificates in Dortmund from VDMA Association President Jan Drömer.
In contrast to the often overcrowded presentations at international trade fairs, suppliers of internal transport systems, conveyor systems and new initiatives for automation and, in times of skilled labor shortages, the urgent need for robotization of continuously recurring tasks have the opportunity to thoroughly examine and test current innovations.

This time, over two days, more than 1,050 participants and 100 innovations were put through their paces in Hall 3 of the Dortmund Trade Fair Center. In professionally guided tours, visitors and specialists delegated by their respective companies were brought up to speed by developers and product engineers.
As part of the Logistics & Robotics Conference, which was integrated into the fifth edition of the two-day event, 40 speakers reported on the advantages and application examples of forklifts and automated warehouse technology equipment, as well as drones, mobile robots, software, and high-tech specials from Europe, China, and the (“still”) United States.

During the event, which Dortmund's mayor, Thomas Westphal, also attended as a "logistics fan," the 21 nominated solutions and devices also received widespread attention. They will undergo a three-stage audit and a thorough device check under scientific supervision strictly focused on their respective benefits in advance of the final round for the internationally acclaimed IFOY Award.
Project by Geek
The representatives of the 15 participating companies, who received their certificates from Jan Drömer, are now permitted to use the seal as an award and distinction for good and effective research and development work, regardless of the ultimate winner in the respective categories. Experts eagerly await the winners in the various categories, which will be announced after an anonymous vote by the jury on July 3rd at the Phoenix des Lumières in Dortmund. The finalists are aluco, Blickfeld, ecoro, enabl, EP Equipment Germany, Exotec, Filics, Geekplus Europe, Hubtex, Interroll, Jungheinrich, Logitrans, Plancise, Still, and Verity.

The IFOY Award is presented annually by an independent jury of international trade journalists (including the online magazine LogisticsInnovation.org Switzerland) sponsored by the Materials Handling and Intralogistics and Robotics + Automation trade associations within the VDMA (German Engineering Federation).
