The Kion Group is providing €257,000 in aid. Damage to Linde MH's own facilities in Valencia was quickly repaired.
“Fortunately, no Kion employees or network partners in the affected areas were injured by the floods. Nevertheless, we are deeply saddened by this tragedy and, as a company active in the Valencia region, want to do our part to support the affected people and help with the reconstruction of the infrastructure,” says Valeria Gargiulo, Chief People & Sustainability Officer of Kion.

The Linde MH team in Valencia is working diligently to resume normal operations and continue activities in the region smoothly. Still dealer Daniel Monzón also reported isolated instances of property damage. The Dematic locations near Madrid and Barcelona were not affected, but Dematic colleagues provided support on site.
Kion employees from around the world donated money in November and December as part of an internal fundraising campaign in cooperation with the Spanish Red Cross. A total of €9,500 was raised in 15 days. The Kion Group subsequently increased the donation amount to a total of €250,000.

In addition, Kion granted paid leave to Spanish employees who had a personal connection to the affected region and wanted to participate in humanitarian aid operations.
“We are very grateful to our employees for not only donating generously to the victims of the flood disaster, but also for doing their best to keep our business running in Spain and to help our affected customers,” says Andreas Krinninger, President of Kion ITS EMEA and member of the Kion Executive Board.
“We are pleased to support their solidarity by increasing the amount and hope that this sum can help the Spanish Red Cross provide the necessary assistance to those affected.”
