The new location, covering 76,000 m², will be DB Schenker's largest land transport site in Germany, with 119 gates, optimized transport routes and infrastructure for electromobility, playing an important role as a logistics hub for the southwest, France and other European countries.
The new building also boasts 3,519 square meters of office space. A modern yard management system ensures precise monitoring and control of logistics processes. "With the modernization and relocation of our Saarland branch to Neunkirchen, we are once again optimizing the capacity and strength of our already highly efficient European land transport network"emphasizes Ralf Többe, CEO of Land Transport at DB Schenker Germany/Switzerland, underscoring the strategic importance of the new location. He adds that this puts the company in an excellent position for further growth in Saarland, throughout France, and in other European countries.

Thanks to its central location, the site offers ideal conditions for goods handling and improves transit times for general cargo as well as partial and full loads. Customers from trade and industry benefit from optimized transport routes, while employees enjoy modern break rooms and progressive working conditions.
DB Schenker will become the owner of the property, thus securing a modern and sustainable logistics infrastructure for the long term. With the DGNB Gold certification, the logistics provider is making a targeted investment in sustainable construction and energy efficiency. A photovoltaic system will ensure a resource-efficient energy supply, including ten charging points for electric cars and eight charging points for electric trucks.
DB Schenker is bringing around 300 jobs subject to social security contributions to the city. The automotive and wine logistics sectors will benefit from the strategic location. Geographically, the Neunkirchen site provides an important connection to 15 fixed destinations in France, the Benelux countries, and all DB Schenker branches in Germany.
