At LogiMAT, Gilgen Logistics its latest generation of storage and retrieval machines for pallets and containers already presented. They are faster, more space-saving, safer, more sustainable, and more economical. The first units have already been commissioned at customer sites, such as recently at Erowa in Büron.
There, the 22 m high mast of the RBG “Performance” was pre-assembled and then lifted with two crane vehicles onto the new high-bay warehouse of the global specialist for clamping technology and automation, in order to be lowered into the warehouse from above through a small hatch for later assembly.

The automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) is the centerpiece of the new container warehouse, which offers over 9,200 container locations. Next to it is a second AS/RS for pallets with 1,500 storage locations. Both systems supply the corresponding picking stations for the pre-assembly of the Erowa machines via the Gilgen conveyor system.
