Intralogistics specialist Ferag has published a "White Paper" on innovative solutions in the textile industry, entitled "In Pursuit of Sustainable Margins" (German: Auf der Suche nach nach nachhaltigen Margins), which aims to address new challenges in the fast-paced fashion industry.
The demands on the fashion industry can be aptly described in a few words: everything has to be faster, more efficient, more gentle, and produced in ever greater numbers.

The white paper describes ways to achieve flexibility in a confined space: seamlessly transitioning from retail replenishment to e-commerce fulfillment with scalable systems, or alternating between the two, without sacrificing performance.
Careful handling is not magic, say the experts who come from handling sensitive high-gloss media and are therefore also very familiar with the transport and automatic sorting of sensitive goods.
The future, it is said, lies in flexible automation – in several respects. Fashion is becoming smarter: the real differentiating features of high-performance intralogistics therefore lie in the planning, control, and management software.
