Gilgen is promoting its mecom container technology at this year's LogiMAT trade fair, among other things. This technology has been implemented at the University Hospital of Basel. Five kilometers of conveyor technology connect buildings and wards with high efficiency. Retrofitting and modernization are the specialty of the experts from Oberwangen.

In Basel, the spontaneous transport system (transport of goods up to 50 kg for mail, medical records, pharmacy supplies, laundry, laboratory services) was expanded and subjected to a retrofit control system modernization .
