Claus Herting has been managing the business in Central and Eastern Europe and Turkey for Hyster and Yale brand forklifts as Area Business Director since the beginning of March, with a core team of currently seven area managers.
The team supports local dealers in developing customized solutions, including financing and full service for vehicle fleets. Herting holds a degree in business administration and studied at Saarland University. His professional experience includes twelve years with a premium manufacturer of industrial trucks, as well as management and executive positions in companies ranging from startups to DAX-listed corporations. At Hyster-Yale, he brings more than twenty years of industry experience in renewable energy, mechanical engineering, and capital goods.

Yale has made it its mission to overcome the toughest intralogistics challenges in the areas of work, safety, and productivity,” said Herting. “As a European manufacturer with production facilities in the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, and Italy, we offer customized solutions and, thanks to scalable and modular concepts, can build forklifts precisely to customer specifications.” This, he added, is a clear unique selling proposition. For him, sales through independent dealers are “the key to success.”
Claus Herting brings numerous additional qualifications to his international leadership role, including further training at INSEAD Business School, the Management Institute St. Gallen, and training as a change management consultant.
