FFB Förder- und Hebezeuge Service GmbH has been a strong partner of Toyota Material Handling , providing forklifts and other industrial trucks in southern Germany around Heilbronn, Stuttgart, Mannheim, and Karlsruhe. Now, TMHDE is acquiring a minority stake.

The partnership is not only intended to strengthen the strategic position in southern Germany – it also supports the actively designed succession planning of the medium-sized FFB.
For over 40 years, FFB has been a strong partner for forklifts and other material handling equipment in southern Germany, particularly around Heilbronn, Stuttgart, Mannheim, and Karlsruhe. The company, headquartered in Eberstadt, was co-founded in 1984 by Managing Director Manfred Fetter and has since grown successfully. Today, the forklift specialist employs over 80 people. Since 2019, FFB has been an official Toyota dealer and part of the national sales network of Toyota Material Handling Germany (TMHDE).
Forward-looking regulation
After more than 40 years in business, FFB Managing Director Manfred Fetter, a forward-thinking entrepreneur, has his company's long-term future in mind. "FFB is financially strong today and well-positioned in the market. As I draw to a close after my long career, I want to ensure it remains well-positioned and secure for the future," says Manfred Fetter.

The succession plan stipulates that, effective immediately, a management board chaired by Manfred Fetter will lead the company. Philip Rüdel, previously assistant to the management, and Kai Baumgärtner, previously workshop manager and deputy service manager, have been appointed to this board. Both will acquire a corresponding stake in the company and, after Manfred Fetter's departure in three years, will jointly lead the company.
“We want to continue our shared success story with FFB,” explains Jan Lorenz, Managing Director of Toyota Material Handling Germany. Currently, 18 dealers with a total of 34 locations complement the nationwide Toyota sales and service network in Germany.
