Ferag, based in Hinwil, is providing initial application examples demonstrating the seamless collaboration between the UCS (Unified Control System) from the ferag.doWarehouse system and its proprietary ferag.starlift storage lift. The manufacturer guarantees a noticeable difference in daily operations.
The ferag.starlift, with its vertical access design, offers high storage capacity in a limited space. Requiring a footprint of just three square meters, with a load capacity of up to 2500 kg per shelf and a lifting speed of up to 2.5 m/s, it is a powerful solution for storing and retrieving all kinds of items, order picking, restocking tools and spare parts, medical and pharmaceutical products, sensitive and expensive goods, or for use in office environments and cold storage facilities.
Above all, ferag.doWarehouse is designed to offer a simple and efficient way to get started with a sophisticated warehouse management solution. The software provides seamless integration with Starlift (or other existing hardware) and the ability to track inventory in real time, monitor orders, and efficiently control stock movements. ferag.doWarehouse offers the functionality of a WMS (Warehouse Management System) while managing processes and providing information for resource efficiency and transparency. Existing processes no longer need to be adapted to the software.

Consider, for example, a production facility with various production lines: The "starlift" enables the efficient management of small parts, tools, and materials. ferag.doWarehouse monitors material requirements in real time. As soon as a production order is due or the stock level falls below a certain threshold, the software automatically triggers a replenishment delivery via the storage lift. The lift transports the required material from the storage area to the picking station. There, the employee removes the parts and uses them directly in production or forwards them. The software updates the stock level and logs the transaction for seamless traceability.
The goods-to-person principle enables short distances, which increases picking efficiency. At the same time, the vertical storage lift saves valuable floor space. The software ensures error-free picking and minimizes inventory discrepancies.
