Many suppliers are focusing on the automation of warehousing and transport processes. The container and tray portfolio that SSI Schäfer Plastics is presenting at FachPack from September 24th to 26th is designed for a wide variety of conveyor systems, stacker cranes, lifts, shuttles, and robots.
The focus of the trade fair appearance in Nuremberg in Hall 6, Stand 6/128 is on storage, picking and transport containers for manual and automatic handling as well as the hazardous goods containers of the new container brand Secon for the safe transport of used batteries.
“We have many years of experience in the automotive, electronics, retail, food, pharmaceutical and postal industries. In addition, we implement customized solutions for our customers, including the option of hot stamping or injection stamping and barcode labels, which can be applied, for example, via in-mold processes,”says Christine Jorzik, Global Sales Director Containers in the plastic container segment of SSI Schäfer.

A highlight in the area of structural packaging is the new Secon (Security Container) brand, whose hazardous goods containers are suitable for transporting dangerous goods in packaging groups II and III. These rigorously tested and certified containers are used, for example, for transporting products such as airbags, lithium-ion batteries, accumulators, and seatbelt retractors. They are available both as small load carriers (KLTs) for industrial use and as conical reusable containers (KMBs) in various sizes and configurations.
Fachpack visitors can also find out about individual packaging solutions, such as injection molded workpiece carriers and thermoformed load carriers, at the SSI Schäfer Plastics stand.
SSI Schäfer Plastics' reusable container solutions are 100% recyclable and can be manufactured from regranulate upon request. Numerous container series and structural packaging solutions from the SSI Schäfer Plastics product range are available with the Blue Angel ecolabel.

To support sustainability goals and reduce CO₂ emissions, for example during empty container transport, SSI Schäfer Plastics offers space-saving foldable or stackable transport containers whose volume can be reduced by up to 80% when empty. Thomas Jettkant, Head of Project Sales: "Furthermore, SSI Schäfer Plastics also takes responsibility for taking back the containers after their life cycle, regranulating them, and producing new containers from the recovered material."
SSI Schäfer Plastics has been an independently operating company within the SSI Schäfer Group since 2022. In addition to products that can be touched and various digital information offerings, the 180 m² exhibition stand in Hall 6, Stand 6/128, also features a lounge area and a photo corner with oversized sofas designed in the shape of containers.
