Extensive experience coupled with an excellent network in the Austrian industrial and banking landscape is attributed to the man who is to take up his new position as Chief Financial Officer on May 5, 2025: Sebastian Wolf will be the new CFO of TGW Logistics.
Since May 2025, Clemens Bauernfeind had only been performing his duties on an interim basis in order to support TGW Logistics until the end of June to ensure a smooth handover.
Sebastian Wolf, 42, from Upper Austria, studied economics at the JKU in Linz and has been working for the listed Upper Austrian fire equipment supplier Rosenbauer since 2008.
There, he assumed various leadership roles before being appointed CFO in 2017 and CEO in 2022. During this time, he was responsible for, among other things, the realignment of financing, the implementation of a group-wide SAP system, and a significant increase in liquidity. As CEO, he also achieved a successful turnaround: Operating profit improved from -1% (2022) to +5% (2024), while simultaneously achieving record order intake despite substantial price adjustments.
Sebastian Wolf was selected by the Foundation Board in close consultation with the management of TGW Logistics. In addition to his professional qualifications, Sebastian Wolf impressed with his values and his enthusiasm for the "TGW idea," which focuses on sustainable growth, corporate responsibility, and combining economic success with social value.
The TGW Future Private Foundation, established in 2004, is the sole owner of TGW Logistics. In accordance with the legacy of its founder, Ludwig Szinicz, it pursues the sustainable continuation of its corporate holdings, the promotion of people inside and outside of TGW, and the careful management of its assets.
The TGW Future Private Foundation is financed by an annual distribution of one-third of TGW Logistics' operating profit, of which it invests at least 30% in the non-profit "TGW Future Wings" initiative. In the past fiscal year, over €4 million was made available for educational innovations in this way.
