As a key player in the logistics industry, EPAL aims to demonstrate at the international «transport logistic» trade fair in Munich (June 2-5) how high-quality and durable load carriers optimize transport and logistics processes while simultaneously strengthening the circular economy.
“Our load carriers are a crucial component for sustainable logistics processes. Through our comprehensive network of licensed production and repair facilities, we ensure quality and resource conservation,” emphasizes Suzane Giurlando, Managing Director of EPAL Germany. “The combination of the renewable raw material wood and digitalization – especially through our QR code pallet and the new EPAL Pallet App – makes the EPAL system a future-proof and environmentally friendly choice for the entire supply chain.”
Environmentally friendly choice
EPAL consistently uses wood from sustainable forestry. Euro pallets produced in Germany and Switzerland come predominantly from responsibly managed forests that meet ecological, social, and economic standards. This contributes to long-term CO2 storage, promotes biodiversity, and supports the natural function of forests.
In Germany, EPAL, in cooperation with the German Federal Association of Wooden Packaging, Pallets and Export Packaging (HPE), is committed to the further development of sustainable wooden packaging in logistics. "Together, at the trade fair, we will demonstrate how EPAL Euro pallets, crates and export packaging, as mobile carbon sinks made from the natural and renewable raw material wood, contribute to the development of resource-efficient and climate-friendly logistics," says HPE Managing Director Marcus Kirschner.

The European Pallet Association (EPAL) ensures the smooth flow of goods in logistics with approximately 675 million Euro pallets and around 20 million pallet cages in its globally open exchange pool. Founded in 1991 as the umbrella organization for licensed manufacturers and repairers of EPAL load carriers, EPAL
EPAL is responsible worldwide for ensuring consistent quality. It is represented in over 35 countries by 14 national committees, which are committed to the national implementation of EPAL's objectives.
