TGW Logistics has announced an order for an automated small parts warehouse on the outskirts of Istanbul for Ekol Lojistik. The Turkish 3PL provider will use more than one hundred Mustang E+ stacker cranes on three levels to handle the storage and retrieval of retail and e-commerce orders.

According to the manufacturer, this is the largest order for storage and retrieval machines in TGW's history. Ekol Lojistik is expected to benefit from high storage density and optimal performance. What makes the solution unique is that the 102 Mustang E+ storage and retrieval machines will be installed on three levels, resulting in a storage block almost 40 meters high. A network of four kilometers of energy-efficient conveyor technology for cartons and pallets will connect the individual areas – the entire facility will have approximately ten kilometers of conveyor technology installed.

With more than 5,000 employees, Ekol is a leading Turkish logistics provider and operates a nationwide network of distribution centers. Founded in 1990, the company specializes in 3PL services for customers in the manufacturing, textile, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), healthcare, and electronics sectors.
