Following the production facility for dishwashers of the BSH (formerly Bosch and Siemens) household appliancemanufacturer in the Bavarian municipality of Dillingen, TGW is now to realize a shuttle warehouse in silo construction for spare parts supply with sophisticated design in Nuremberg by mid-2028.

The highly automated spare parts fulfillment center is the second joint project within just a few months. This technological highlight is designed to minimize space requirements and increase productivity. TGW's "Werx" warehouse management software is integrated with BSH's SAP warehouse management system and will handle the planning, control, and monitoring of all shuttle and conveyor technology processes.

In the proposed concept, the racking structure also supports the building's wall and ceiling elements. This allows for optimal use of the available space. Technically, the planning and implementation are quite challenging: the racking must absorb wind and snow loads, and the connections to the wall and roof structures, as well as the interface with the floor slab, are crucial for the overall stability of the system. "This second joint project with BSH within just a few months is a great vote of confidence in our collaboration," says Martin Waldenberger, Chief Sales Officer of the Customer Unit Central Europe at TGW Logistics. "The shuttle warehouse in silo construction represents a unique technical feature that only a few companies can reliably implement. TGW Logistics brings years of experience and expertise in planning and implementation to the table."

At the heart of the solution is the shuttle warehouse with approximately 300,000 storage locations. Orders are assembled at ergonomic PickCenter workstations, and a 1.5 km long network of energy-efficient KingDrive conveyor technology connects the various areas of the distribution center.
