SWAN, the logistics software provider belonging to SSI Schäfer, now offers full technical integration of the AutoStore system with SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM). The AutoStore Warehouse Integration, the company states, offers maximum efficiency and flexibility in managing warehouse processes.
As a modern storage and order picking system, AutoStore, with its modular aluminum structure on which robots can move and store containers, optimally utilizes storage space and enables faster picking processes. With AutoStore Warehouse Integration, all processes within the AutoStore system can now be mapped and controlled directly from SAP EWM. The technical integration, without middleware, creates a tight link between the two systems, as detailed data processing takes place entirely within the SAP system. The fully updatable product, SWAN AutoStore Warehouse Integration, has already been implemented by SWAN as an on-premise solution and is now available as a cloud solution in the SAP Store.

AutoStore Warehouse Integration provides tools for customization and extension options to integrate it into existing process landscapes. The solution also includes workplace and management/control dialogs. Pre-built dialogs make the system user-friendly and allow tasks such as picking, putaway, inspection, and inventory management to be handled directly from the familiar interface.
Integration with SAP EWM offers users a leaner and more efficient connection between the AutoStore system and their warehouse management processes, without the additional costs of middleware. Because AutoStore can now communicate directly with SAP EWM, the data from both systems is orchestrated, and inventory is managed from a central location. A user-friendly interface allows for intuitive operation in a familiar design.
“With the AutoStore Warehouse Integration, we are making AutoStore an even more powerful solution for modern logistics processes,” says Kai Starke, Director of Realization and authorized signatory at SWAN.
SWAN also provides consulting and support for implementation in existing system landscapes and implements customer-specific requirements. After project completion, SWAN continues to provide customer support through its service offerings.
