
Sustained sustainability: Despite continuing challenging market conditions and a subdued environment, SSI Schäfer recorded significant progress and successes in sustainability last year. These included a climate strategy with measurable reduction targets and an energy transformation concept for its headquarters in Neunkirchen.
The global playerin all areas of intralogistics has published its third sustainability report to underscore the continuity of its actions in this field. According to the report, the focus of its activities remained on implementing the sustainability strategy developed in 2021, which covers ecological, social, and economic aspects.

“In 2023, we once again worked intensively to make a positive contribution to sustainable development as a globally operating company,” says CEO Peter Edelmann. “We are particularly pleased to be among the top third of companies assessed by EcoVadis, having received the ‘Bronze’ award.”
The company intends to continue its efforts in 2024 and identify further measures to strengthen the sustainability of its business activities. Significant progress has also been made in the implementation of a group-wide compliance management system (CMS).

The CSM adheres to internationally recognized auditing standards and is based on the principles of Prevent, Detect, and Respond to reduce risks in the areas of fraud, embezzlement, corruption, bribery, money laundering, conflicts of interest, and human rights. Integrity is a crucial factor for the company's success.
