Swisslog is expanding its portfolio with three autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) in the IntraMove series, specifically designed for flexible horizontal transport in dynamic warehouse environments. The AMRs can handle loads up to 3,000 kg and utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance performance.

The new series comprises three models for different transport requirements: The compact IntraMove AMR 600 transports loads up to 600 kg, the IntraMove AMR 1500 is suitable as a pallet transporter for up to 1,500 kg, while the heavy-duty IntraMove AMR 3000 with omnidirectional drive handles loads up to 3,000 kg. All robots feature fully integrated lifting mechanisms that transport goods gently and without damage.
Rapid implementation
“Our customers are increasingly looking for transport solutions that can handle heavier loads and adapt to dynamic, frequently changing conditions,” says AMR Solution Manager Thomas Balzarek. “The IntraMove AMR systems are ideally suited for point-to-point pallet and carton transport in industries such as food and beverage, fashion and consumer goods, as well as for industrial applications. They offer rapid implementation, flexible operation, and easy adjustment of routes and delivery points.”
AMR 600
The AMRs are connected via the standardized VDA 5050 communication interface to AI-based fleet management software, ensuring optimal route planning and order distribution. The software coordinates the robot fleet in real time, optimizes routes, and automatically assigns transport orders based on priorities, robot availability, and battery status.
External systems such as doors, elevators, and variable obstacles communicate with the software via standard protocols (MQTT, Modbus, OPC UA). The AMRs also utilize SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) navigation with two laser scanners and AI algorithms for autonomous route calculation.
AMR 1500
A direct connection between fleet management software and a modular warehouse management system (WCS/WMS) such as Swisslog's SynQ software enables seamless order processing. The solution is highly scalable: companies can flexibly adjust the number of AMRs to changing needs and fluctuating inventory volumes.
Flexible in transport
Ongoing warehouse operations will not be affected. Various top modules, such as platforms or roller conveyors, ensure efficient product handling and transport flexibility.
AMR 3000
The IntraMove series can be implemented both as a subsystem for efficient point-to-point transport of pallets and cartons and as a standalone order picking solution. The new IntraMove AMR complements the existing portfolio of Swisslog's CarryPick order picking solution.
