At LogiMAT in Stuttgart, the sensor specialists from Leuze are presenting intelligently networked systems, which they claim is "the most compact laser positioning system on the market", and a new access control system for transfer stations between robots and AGVs with laser scanners.
The automation of positioning applications is becoming increasingly flexible, and warehouse vehicles are becoming ever more compact. Leuze has developed the new AMS 100i position sensor to meet these needs: its small size combined with a narrow blind zone of only 100 mm.
With the world's first secure barcode positioning system, the FBPS 600i, only one sensor is needed for reliable position detection. The device connects via two interfaces and is suitable for applications up to Performance Level "e" . This makes implementation relatively simple, reducing installation and service effort.
