Business with Asia – and especially intralogistics – has never been a one-way street. Visitors to Shanghai recently witnessed firsthand how AI- controlled industrial trucks and digital twins are fundamentally transforming supply chain processes.
Third largest provider

Just in time for CeMAT in Shanghai, the presentation of the "Omniverse" has enhanced with deeper system integration and advanced autonomy capabilities, resulting from KION's ongoing collaboration with NVIDIA and Accenture. This marks a milestone for KION in its efforts to establish its material flow standard worldwide .

The entire showcase was digitally presented in NVIDIA's "Omniverse" and demonstrated the real-time localization of the industrial trucks. Onboard and stationary cameras with NVIDIA hardware capture and process live operational data. The solution operates in a constantly evolving simulation environment and paves the way for large-scale optimization of vehicle coordination and route planning .

Using intelligent stationary cameras, autonomous forklifts and the latest automation and robotics solutions, the digital twins are created highly realistically in real time in the "Omniverse", which is fed by live data from the sensors and cameras: to play through scenarios in advance, find the best layouts for new warehouses and accelerate decisions.
Based on sales in 2023, Kion is the leading foreign producer in China and, including domestic manufacturers, the third largest supplier.
