Effective fire protection not only protects people, assets, and processes, says Torsten Wagner, Managing Director of the Wagner Group, but also conserves resources and reduces environmental impacts resulting from fires. This makes an important contribution to sustainability.

With the publication of its first sustainability report for the 2024/25 financial year according to the VSME ESRS (Voluntary Small and Medium Enterprise European Sustainability Reporting Standard) – incidentally also coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the fire protection team – the internationally active family business documents the ecological, social and economic performance of the previous financial year.
Not just a "trend"
The report on the activities of the Wagner companies in Germany is intended to provide transparency regarding progress achieved, areas of action, and measures. "Sustainability is far more than a trend for us. It is a corporate philosophy that shapes our daily operations and obligates us as a company: towards the environment, towards our employees, and towards society," explains CEO Torsten Wagner.

The report reflects on measures in supply chain management, compliance, employee and customer satisfaction, as well as the environment and resources. It also outlines next steps to further reduce the ecological footprint and strengthen social standards along the value chain.
