Management, staff, and associates of the founding family celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Wagner Group, the fire protection experts, at Herrenhausen Palace. Since 1976, the company has stood for sustainable safety in plant-based fire protection, early detection, and prevention.

Since its founding in 1976, the company has evolved from a specialized engineering firm into a leading international solutions provider for fire protection systems. Today, Wagner operates in 15 countries and employs over 800 people worldwide. The anniversary celebration is themed "Shaping the future. Living safety." – a commitment reflected in the company's technological development over the past five decades.

Among the pioneering developments are highly sensitive, false-alarm-proof aspirating smoke detectors for early fire detection and oxygen reduction systems for active fire prevention. These fire protection solutions, always individually developed for customers, are used worldwide in automated and sensitive areas, such as logistics centers, data centers, industrial plants, museums, and archives.

From risk analysis and planning to operation and service, Wagner supports its customers in detecting fires early or preventing them altogether under defined conditions, thus avoiding business interruptions and minimizing consequential damage.
Early detection is key
The company is increasingly focusing on sustainability: energy-efficient systems, resource-conserving plant design, and durable components. With its "Fire Protection 4.0" , Wagner combines modern sensor technology, digital networking, and intelligent data analysis to create future-proof, proactive fire protection solutions.

Many employees have been with Wagner for decades, and now the third generation of the founding family is also taking on responsibility within the company. The headquarters in Langenhagen has been continuously expanded and technologically advanced – as a center for development, manufacturing, and international management.
Looking ahead
“Fifty years is a milestone – and at the same time an incentive”says Torsten Wagner, Managing Director of the Wagner Group. “Based on this, we are developing solutions for the increasing security requirements of tomorrow.”
