Six finalists presented their innovative logistics solutions in five-minute elevator pitches to a professional audience and a panel of experts. The jury and participants then jointly selected the winners. The awards ceremony took place at the Westfalenhallen Congress Center during the evening event organized by Dortmund Economic Development and the Technical University.
pyck emerged as the clear winner with its open-source framework for warehouse management systems (WMS).

The system advertises itself with the slogan "Charge ten times faster at half the cost." It offers companies control, flexibility, a global developer community, and a public application programming interface (API), a standardized interface that allows different software applications to communicate with each other, exchange data, and access the functionality of other programs.

The system, they say, is secure, cost-effective, easily adaptable, and vendor-independent. Founder Daniel Jarr impressed both the jury and the audience with his idea. First place is awarded €9,000 and privileged access to the international network of Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH).

Other winners included "K2 Mobility" (Brandenburg), which took second place and received €4,500 for its solution for integrated and dynamic charging of electric trucks and buses. Third place went to "Ease," a Munich-based company with flexible and intuitive exoskeletons that enable freedom of movement and high user acceptance.

The Digital Logistics Award, organized by the Digital Hub Logistics Dortmund, is one of the most highly endowed awards for logistics startups in Europe, with a total prize money of €15,000. "We are delighted with the large number of high-quality applications and warmly congratulate all the winners," says Maria Beck, Hub Manager of the Digital Hub Logistics Dortmund. The aim of the award is to recognize and promote creative business ideas for digital working environments in logistics.
The prize money came from the Port of Duisburg / startport, Bito Campus, the Port of Dortmund, and the commercial law firm Audalis.
