The pump specialist of the same name centralized its warehouse system just four years ago, building a two-aisle pallet high-bay warehouse and an automated small parts warehouse with over 12,000 storage locations, including conveyor technology, . Now they've taken it one step further.

Without interrupting operations, Jungheinrich has expanded the pump specialist's fully automated high-bay pallet warehouse in Werdohl, Sauerland, by an additional aisle, creating space for 2,600 additional pallet spaces.

Hidden champions, it is said, have staying power and grow systematically. At Kracht, too, there is strength in calm. As one of the leading German manufacturers of gear pumps, flow measurement technology, hydraulic components, and valves, the long-established company, with around 400 employees worldwide, designs, produces, and sells its products around the globe. To optimize its vertical integration, Kracht, together with Jungheinrich, has now expanded the high-bay warehouse at its logistics center in South Westphalia, which was newly built in 2017, by another aisle. For this purpose, the 50 m long and 23 m high structure of the silo high-bay warehouse was widened by 7.5 m . As with the existing aisles, a storage and retrieval machine from the Jungheinrich subsidiary MIAS is used. With a payload of 1000 kg , it is capable of handling up to 30 double cycles with 15 transfers per hour.

As part of the expansion now underway, Jungheinrich is also further expanding the existing conveyor technology for pallets and containers – including control and visualization.
