Schindler has acquired the German elevator specialist AS Aufzug + Service. According to Ebikon, the company's integration into the group will secure jobs in the Osnabrück and Magdeburg regions.

Schindler confirms the acquisition of the AS Aufzug + Service group, headquartered in Bissendorf near Osnabrück, which comprises the two operating divisions of Service and Mechanical Engineering. Owners Thomas Quade and Werner Hindersmann are pleased: "We are delighted that we know AS is in very good and responsible hands at Schindler. For both our employees and our customers, this transition means future security and opens up new and exciting opportunities." AS, for its part, brings cultivated expertise in the new construction and service business, as well as valuable customer relationships, to the elevator group. Quade and Hindersmann: "We can develop excellently in this professional environment."
Schindler's Germany CEO Meinolf Pohle: "We warmly welcome all 82 employees. Through this expansion, we are further strengthening our customer proximity, especially in northwest Germany, and are pleased to have another elevator specialist with expertise particularly in the field of hydraulic elevators. All customers in our elevator group benefit from this diverse expertise. » AS Aufzug + Service will continue to operate independently on the market under its current company name.

AS Aufzug + Service GmbH was founded in 1979 as a specialist in maintenance, modernization, and emergency call services. Due to its successful development, the company expanded its services in 1984 to include elevator development, design, and manufacturing. Through the company's in-house steel and sheet metal processing, as well as its own control system construction, customers receive customized yet cost-effective elevator models: from individual or standard passenger lifts to goods elevators, car lifts, and theater stage elevators with special requirements.
