Fire protection with fuel cells
WAGNER Switzerland AG
Fire protection with fuel cells
March 9, 2025

The fire protection specialists from Wagner will be presenting innovations in the field of active fire prevention with the oxygen reduction system OxyReduct as well as individual solutions for deep-freeze warehouses, high-bay warehouses and compact container warehouses starting Tuesday at the LogiMAT in Stuttgart in Hall 7, Stand C13.
For the first time at LogiMAT, Wagner is presenting the new OxyReduct F-Line nitrogen generator, which combines the advantages of an economical and sustainable fire protection solution with CO2-neutral and self-sufficient energy generation. This added value is based on the use of innovative fuel cell technology.

The use of the hydrogen-based fuel cell developed by HY.AIR Energy produces nitrogen-rich exhaust air. This is then directed into the area to be protected, creating an oxygen-reduced atmosphere for active fire prevention. At the same time, the cell provides electricity and heat to operate other equipment and systems. Thanks to the fuel cell's high efficiency, the nitrogen required for fire prevention can be generated from even small amounts of hydrogen. For the user, Wagner says, this means maximum safety in terms of fire protection combined with CO2 neutrality.
OxyReduct F-Line with fuel cell
In combination with other OxyReduct nitrogen generators, Wagner offers a flexibly adaptable, hybrid fire protection system that can also protect very large areas in the warehousing and logistics segments, for example in deep-freeze and high-bay warehouses.
Wagner has also recently received approval for its proven oxygen reduction system OxyReduct from the renowned testing and certification institute FM Approvals, which plays an important role in insurance coverage.
Recently also FM certified.
Wagner is an established innovative solutions and systems provider with approximately 800 employees at 25 locations in 15 countries worldwide. With approximately 700 patents, the group is a technology leader in the field of fire detection and fire prevention.
