Bluetooth headsets have advantages. Despite claims to the contrary, for years it was almost unavoidable that in acoustically demanding environments – which logistics warehouses also include – a loss of quality in speech recognition was to be expected . With the HS01 BT, it is said that this is now "over."
The voice-controlled solutions known under the "Lydia" brand have now been expanded to include the wireless headset of the same name. According to the manufacturer, the combination ensures reliable transmission quality and voice recognition even without cables. Freedom of movement is unrestricted thanks to the proven "hands-free" concept.
“We have invested a lot of development work in recent years into combining Bluetooth headsets with Android technology,” says Tim Just, CEO of the Voice S division.
at Ehrhardt + Partner, under whose umbrella Lydia is part of the EP Group. The performance of speech recognition via Bluetooth transmission is now equivalent to that of the wired version.

The mobile voice computer runs on the enterprise operating system Android Industrial plus. Electronic components, hygiene parts, and carrying handle can be freely exchanged and modified, allowing different wearing preferences to be accommodated for greater comfort. To minimize the time required for battery changes, the Lydia® Wireless Headset features a hot-swap battery. This allows for a runtime of up to 16 hours and can be replaced during operation if necessary, without the need for re-pairing.
The headset features HD Voice technology (wideband audio) and integrated Advanced Noise Cancelling. This ensures a more comfortable working environment, even in high ambient noise. The headset has a range of up to ten meters, is IP67 rated, and, according to the manufacturer, is suitable for order picking in freezer environments down to -40°C.
