That sounds like considerable lifting power: Forklift manufacturer Jungheinrich has signed a sponsorship agreement with young Fribourg wrestler Lario Kramer. The 23-year-old from Galmiz in the canton of Fribourg has already been named "Rising Star of the Year" by the Swiss Wrestling Federation.

Martin Weber, CEO of Jungheinrich Switzerland, sees the qualified agricultural merchant and passionate vegetable gardener as a brilliant promotion. "As a qualified agricultural merchant and passionate vegetable gardener on the family farm, Lario is the ideal figurehead for us. Because, and this makes us particularly happy, he has revealed himself to be a huge fan of our products. And we are fans of his. His sporting ambition inspires us," says Weber. "Credibility is very important in sponsorship. Lario works with our forklifts every day – a perfect match." The key phrase is "two champions – one team."

Lario Kramer is predicted to have a great career. At the last Swiss Wrestling Festival in Zug, the young elite athlete from the SK Kerzers wrestling club already won a Swiss wreath. He's also won regional wrestling festival victories and the Stoos Mountain Festival. More are undoubtedly to come. Sponsorship from Jungheinrich helps him continue on his path: "I love wrestling, and with around 20 hours of training per week, it demands a lot from me – in addition to my 80 percent job. Any support is welcome."

The sport of wrestling has become increasingly professionalized in recent years. The level of competition is high, and media attention has also continued to grow. "We are dealing exclusively with absolute top athletes here," says Martin Weber. "With our sponsorship, we support and reward the effort required for such top performances."
The commitment is expected to last for several years.
