Bosch's building technology division plans to acquire the British security and fire alarm technology specialists Protec Fire and Security Group. With approximately 1,100 employees and €142 million in revenue, the group is one of the largest system integrators in this sector .
The group , headquartered in Nelson, employs around 1,100 people at nine European locations in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. "With the acquisition of Protec, Bosch Building Technologies aims to expand its business and continue its growth in the European market," says Thomas Quante, Chairman of the Bosch division 's . The purchase price remains confidential. The acquisition is still officially subject to approval by the antitrust authorities.
Bosch Building Technologies also currently focuses its European system integrator business on Germany and the Netherlands. Protec Fire and Security was founded in 1968 and looks back on over 50 years of company history. The company's services and products are used in numerous sectors, such as industry, airports, and railway stations.
In the Netherlands , Protec operates primarily under the Hacousto brand. "With its complementary customer base and expertise, Protec is an excellent addition to Bosch Building Technologies' current business in the Dutch market. The acquisition will significantly strengthen our combined market position," said Quante.
Bosch Building Technologies is a leading international supplier of products and systems for building security, energy efficiency and building automation , generating sales of 1.9 billion euros in 2020 with around 8,800 employees .
