Self-adhesive graphic products, reflective films, and industrial adhesive tapes don't necessarily require sterile conditions for proper storage. But when speed and pressure differentials are important, doors like the EFA-STT CR cleanroom door are a good choice.
At the Orafol factory, whose films are used worldwide on traffic signs, guidance systems, workwear, and emergency vehicles, all production halls must be kept at a temperature of 21 degrees Celsius. They are operated to keep the rooms particle-free. And, of course, the films must be absolutely dust-free. With the first airlock doors installed there, only the door specialist Efaflex change the function if needed, and a technician had to come to the factory specifically for this purpose. "Now, using the EFA Connect control system, I can control the STT CR doors myself, directly on-site via iPad, in a very short time," explains Facility Manager Steffen Winkler. When one of the airlock doors opens, the positive pressure of approximately 8 Pa forces the air out of the hall, thus preventing a particle-contaminated airflow from entering the production or storage areas. Other doors separate production areas from one another. "Drying the films, for example, generates a lot of heat, which is rather undesirable in other complexes."
Inside the production halls, the crystal-clear door panels offer high transparency and plenty of daylight. They are smart, quiet, extremely fast, and blend aesthetically into the green surroundings of the factory.
