Excellent, and they even saved an "E": "More than half of our customers want to automate processes that are currently handled manually within the next three years," says Still's brand strategist Frank Müller. And he's also bringing the "Xcellence" and "Classic" lines to LogiMAT.

“We are seeing a growing demand for automation solutions that can be implemented quickly and scaled,” confirms Müller. The Hamburg-based automation experts will be demonstrating how automated goods flows can be optimally implemented in practice at this year’s LogiMAT trade fair in Stuttgart from April 25th to 27th.

A typical material flow found in many industries is simulated there: Pallets arrive at the warehouse by truck. An automated high-lift pallet truck (EXV iGo systems) picks up the delivery from the truck unloading station and takes it to the contour inspection station – a smart and compact inspection device that operates independently of conveyor technology and can therefore be freely positioned within the warehouse. Pallets that meet the requirements are then stored from there, also via an EXV iGo systems pallet truck. When a customer order is received, the pallet truck retrieves the pallets and places them at a transfer station. Here, an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) from the STILL ACH series takes over the horizontal transport towards the conveyor system to transfer the goods for repalletizing and order-specific assembly.

This automated material flow can be experienced at the neighboring booth (Hall 10, Booth 10C41) of the sister company Dematic. "Through close collaboration with Dematic, we leverage valuable synergies," says Müller.

Still's automated vehicles are used in robotic material flows precisely for the purpose for which they were optimized. High-lift pallet trucks are responsible for vertical storage and retrieval, while the autonomous vehicles prove their worth as agile load carriers for horizontal transport. With their compact design, they require only half the space of a forklift for loading and unloading.

Still offers AMR in two versions: The entry-level ACH uses QR code navigation on the floor and can be integrated cost-effectively into existing systems. The ACH is the ideal choice wherever goods need to be transported along fixed and consistent routes. For more complex applications, the new AXH is designed. It offers a higher degree of autonomy and therefore performs well in mixed-use environments – both in collaborative operation with other AGVs such as vertical order pickers or reach trucks, and with manually operated industrial trucks.

In addition to the automation scenario, Still will also be presenting its two product lines at LogiMAT for the first time, which are precisely tailored to individual customer requirements: the "Xcellence Line" and the "Classic Line." The new Classic Line offers entry-level solutions focusing on core functions: standardized, readily available, and at attractive prices. The devices are pre-configured and therefore also quickly available.

The Xcellence line offers state-of-the-art technology for demanding applications, highly versatile and customizable. At its heart is the future RXE series: the next generation of electric forklifts. Also on display in Stuttgart will be the EXH low-lift pallet truck, nominated for the IFOY award, with its newly developed tiller concept, and the EXH-SF 14-16C low-lift pallet truck with a foldable platform.
