Lagerfeld in digital format

Supply chain management solutions provider Setlog is expanding the digital business for the fashion company founded by Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away in 2019. To equip itself for the future with transparent supply chains, the fashion brand is implementing Setlog's cloud-based software tool, OSCA.

“We have grown enormously over the past ten years and are investing not only in brick-and-mortar retail but also in our digital business. OSCA brings more transparency to our supply chain and allows us to track purchase orders digitally,” says Rudy Boogaard, Senior Director of Operations & Supply Chain at Karl Lagerfeld in Amsterdam. “We are delighted to be able to support this globally renowned brand in the digitalization of its global procurement,” says Setlog board member Ralf Düster.

This allows for faster order processing. Lagerfeld transmits its orders from its ERP system to production sites or intermediaries via OSCA. The SCM software serves as a central communication tool – from order confirmation and delivery planning to transport bookings. In addition to costs, volumes, lead times, carton packing lists, transport durations, and delivery dates can be monitored. Logistics service providers input transport notifications and tracking data into the system via EDI. OSCA also manages the after-sales process – including coordinating the delivery time between the freight forwarder and the distribution center.

Furthermore, the warehouse management system was integrated. The barcodes of the delivered cartons are scanned, and the data on incoming goods quantities is automatically transferred to the tool. Users can view and document the current status of orders on dashboards. If delivery dates change or there are delays in production or transport, all partners in the value chain are notified.
