SupplyBrain for the supply chain

SSI Schäfer SupplyBrain1

SSI Schäfer is founding a start-up in Graz with ten employees, led by Managing Director Michael Traar, to sharpen its technological and digitalization expertise in the field of intralogistics. Data-driven software solutions are intended to optimize supply chains, increase efficiency, and reduce operating costs.

The services of the newly founded innovation startup under the umbrella of the SSI Schäfer Group are hitting a nerve with many logistics companies. SupplyBrain aims to develop market-ready products with different approaches. Companies will be empowered to simulate alternative solutions and quickly identify which option would be the most efficient, for example, if employees in order picking are absent due to illness or if order structures change drastically due to altered market conditions.

Another key service component is the optimization of the maintenance strategy towards predictive maintenance. AI-supported analysis of the usage data of the system components determines the optimal maintenance window. Increasing energy efficiency is also among SupplyBrain's services. With rising energy prices, optimizing component usage plays a particularly important role.

“We are delighted that, as a startup incubator, we can now expand SSI Schäfer’s service portfolio with SupplyBrain to include rapidly available digital products and services,” says SSI CEO Peter Edelmann. He adds that the consistent optimization of all processes and components is an important step towards Intralogistics 4.0.

SupplyBrain stands for the intelligent use of data that accumulates in massive quantities in warehouses and is often insufficiently used as a basis for decision-making. Users benefit from products and services that integrate seamlessly into the company's existing software. Complementing intralogistics software, SupplyBrain's solutions, based on artificial intelligence, simulation algorithms, and real-time process analysis, are designed to provide a solid foundation for short-term decision-making to optimize various areas.

Mario Traar, CEO of SupplyBrain, sees great potential: “The future of logistics is not about the continuous expansion and coexistence of different systems, but rather the consistent networking and seamless integration of additional solutions. SupplyBrain's products and solutions are an ideal complement to existing logistics software, such as Wamas software or SAP solutions.”
