Dematic unveils “Command Center”

March 31, 2026

Dematic insists it is redefining warehouse intelligence " Command Center "

Dematic Command Center 310

The Command Center integrates real-time monitoring, AI-powered decision support, and operational analytics into a single user interface. Its goal is to help distribution and logistics centers understand, monitor, and control complex processes more efficiently. Dematic has been running the central control system, which consists of four modules, in 20 warehouses belonging to two US companies for about a year, explains GSO manager Gregor Henkert.

Warehouse operators have more data than ever before – but data alone doesn’t automatically increase performance says Chris Steiner, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Dematic. By being able to understand not only what happened, but also why, employees can resolve problems faster and manage their operations at peak performance.

Enormous amounts of data

Modern warehouses generate enormous amounts of data from automation systems, warehouse software, and enterprise applications. However, this information is often scattered across different vendors and monitoring tools, making it difficult for warehouse operators to quickly identify problems and understand the causes of performance deviations.

The Command Center enables informed decisions through centralized analytics and transparent performance indicators. Emerging problems are identified early, strengthening operational resilience and ensuring productivity. " Resources and workflows can also be optimized through a better understanding of operational patterns, while throughput and service levels are maintained thanks to real-time monitoring and operational insights " says Steiner. The Command Center leverages operational insights from over 9,000 automation projects worldwide.

Dematic Hai Robotics 1 310 Shark robots are on their way

It has also attracted considerable attention recently that Dematic has entered into a partnership with Hai Robotics for flexible AMR robotic solutions, aiming to collaborate as an integration partner in the field of warehouse automation. Through this cooperation, the world's leading provider of automation solutions for supply chains and the specialist in autonomous mobile robots (AMR) are said to be combining their core competencies to develop innovative and scalable solutions for warehouse and logistics applications.
