A survey of the transport sector indicates that priorities have shifted back towards profitability.
Locking bars secure the load
Pen-Beam
Some people are just a bit dense. But with its Pen-Beam locking bar system and Twist-Beam for vans and small delivery vehicles, the safety systems manufacturer Wistra Cargo Control offers asolution. The CEP (courier, express, and parcel) industry and fleet operators appreciate it.
Web service for mobile robots

"No spoonful" without added value

It sounds simple, but it has a clever purpose: Nestlé produces nutritional drinks and supplements at its Osthofen plant in the Rhineland-Palatinate region. The powder is automatically dispensed into the can. A measuring scoop is also included. A Sick system with a snapshot camera detects whether it has actually been added. This makes sense on the assembly line.
Boxes with internet connection

At the FachPack trade fair in Nuremberg from September 24th to 26th, Bito is launching a new initiative with crates and boxes that reduce the carbon footprint and simultaneously comply with the EU packaging regulations planned for 2030. Made from recycled material as standard, they are quiet and easy to handle.
Lucrative in high-cost locations

Hardinge Kellenberger's requirements weren't simple: save space, increase efficiency, improve ergonomics, and digitize processes! No sooner said than done: SSI Schäfer supplied the Swiss company with six storage lifts and reduced the required space by 35%.

2-in-1 forklift for all situations

Hyster's new LO2.0-3.0P is a low-level order picker and ride-on pallet truck in one. It allows loads from production facilities and industrial halls to be transported directly onto the loading platform of a truck – and loads from the truck to be stored in the warehouse without changing vehicles.
Every centimeter counts

“Hardly any segment of warehouse equipment is as versatile as manual electric high-lift pallet trucks,” says Marc Castro, Portfolio Manager Warehouse Trucks at Linde MH. The L10 – L16 B is a new, extremely compact pedestrian-operated truck in this category.

There are companies that, simply by virtue of their persistent presence, are considered "indispensable." Take IKEA, for example, with its benchmarks for self-assembled furniture for generations of young parents. In Portugal, electric trucks are now being used for IKEA deliveries from Paços de Ferreira to Porto.

Top conveyor technology for rush hour

Construction has begun on a new masterpiece of transport technology from Doppelmayr in Penang Hill (Malaysia): a fast 8-person gondola lift as an alternative to the existing funicular, which was only overhauled by Garaventa in 2010. From 2026, the 2.7 km long "D-Line" will transport up to 1000 passengers per hour in 50 new 8-person cabins at speeds of up to 6 m/s up the mountain.

The update also prevents cyber risks

It's normal for a workstation or smartphone to experience some initial problems after installing the latest software version. Skipping the update would mean exposing yourself to cyberattacks. This can be critical for large warehouse management systems. Viastore takes precautions.
