Now, the finger grippers from the US company Soft Robotics (SRI) are being added, which the Glatten-based company has acquired along with patents and the associated know-how for the automated handling of food.

Vacuum expert Schmalz is preparing for this year's FachPack trade fair in Nuremberg from September 24th to 26th, showcasing new gripper solutions such as the PSPF bellows suction cup. With its high-strength, two-component connection between the bellows and sealing lip, it securely grips extremely thin and flexible bags.

The powder is automatically dispensed into the can. A measuring scoop is also included. A Sick system with a snapshot camera detects whether it has actually been added. This makes sense on the assembly line.
